Montgomery County Green Business Certification Program Crash Course on How to Become a Green Certified Business

WHY: Position your company to be among the first to get certified in Montgomery County’s new Green Business Certification Program, a voluntary program designed to help businesses go above and beyond basic green measures to reduce their ecological footprint.
This course will focus on the fundamentals associated with implementation of day to day business operations and policies covering: 1) Organizational Commitment, 2) Waste Reduction & Recycling, 3) Environmentally Responsible Purchasing, 4) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, 5) Efficient Runoff Management and Water Use, 6) Pollution Prevention and 7) Transportation and Travel. The course will also outline green business opportunities and benefits and strategies for leading environmental change within your organization.
